Congrats 16U Seniors - 2023 Nationals & Maria Pepe Champs!

At Nationals, the 16U Seniors team went undefeated, winning 5 straight games to capture the title. They faced some tough competition, but their grit, determination, and incredible teamwork won the day. Shouts outs also to our 16U-Junior and 12U teams, who played some great baseball and had an awesome time!

At the Maria Pepe Tourney in August, our 16U team (Seniors/Juniors) won their division as well. This was the third title in a row for this team, who also won the Maria Pepe 14U title in 2021 and the 16U title in 2022. Our 12U team came in second at Maria Pepe with a great showing, making NYGB doubly proud! 

The 16U team came in second at the DC Girls Baseball DMV Tourney in October, just shy of a trifecta for the season. They went up against a tough Canadian Royals team who had the edge over the Wonders, who were the only team to play three games the first day in the pouring rain. They're eager for a rematch and to stay warm and dry next time! 

We're so proud of all of our players for showing everyone what it means to be a New York Wonder - we play hard, support each other, show respect, and - most importantly - we HAVE FUN!
